Jim Briley — Treasurer
A native of New Bern, Jim graduated from UNC at Chapel Hill in 1971 and worked in the Raleigh office of Ernst and Young until 1977. He is a CPA and the owner of James C. Briley, Jr., CPA.
Jim has served as church treasurer since 1979. He is married to Phoebe Briley and has one daughter.
Louis Foye — SextonLouis Foye has been sexton at First Presbyterian Church for more than 20 years. Tables and chairs are set up and taken down, grass is mowed and walks are blown clean, and smiles fill church buildings because Louis is on the job. He enjoys working in his own yard in his spare time. Louis is a member of Mt. Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in James City.
Tommy Hall — Administrative Coordinator
A member of First Presbyterian Church since 1976, Tommy is a native New Bernian. After working 38 years with the U.S. Government, in 2007 he accepted a position as Administrator of our church. Tommy and his wife Mary Marshburn Hall have been married 45 years and have three children: Jennifer, Mary Candace and Tom.
Connie MacLean — Executive SecretaryConnie and her husband, Ron moved to New Bern in 2002 from Annapolis, MD. Her 32 year career prior to relocating was as a real estate paralegal both in her home town of Dayton, Ohio and in Annapolis. She has one daughter, four stepsons and ten grandchildren.
Sandy O’Brien — Financial Secretary
Sandy is a Kentucky Girl, even though she has not lived there for 24 years. She has been married to her retired Marine husband for 25 years. Thanks to the Marine Corp, she has had the privilege to live in Chicago, New York, California and Havelock, North Carolina. She has two athletic sons, who are currently attending college. Sandy has been a part-time financial secretary for First Baptist Church of New Bern for 14 years. In August of 2007, God blessed her family once again with a job at First Presbyterian Church of New Bern as the financial secretary. Since that time, she has enjoyed working at both churches as a part-time financial secretary.
Kerri Wheeler — Preschool DirectorKeri was born and raised in Michigan and moved to Raleigh after attending college at Eastern Michigan University. She owned and operated a day care facility for 7 years. She relocated to New Bern in 1998 to raise her two children Bailey and Brook. When preschool is not in season, she can be found at the beach or enjoying time with friends and family!
