“Faith seeking understanding” was the motto of Saint Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109). Those same three words define the goals of Adult Education Program at First Pres.  Our Adult Education program is broad and varied, including Men’s and Women’s Bible Study Classes, Adult Sunday School Classes, Contemplative Prayer & Reflection Group, the Rothermel Foundation community education series, and special events and learning opportunities. Adult Education Committee commits to providing a balanced series of courses covering the following subject areas:
  • The Bible
  • The Church
  • Christian Life
  • Theology
Throughout three quarters (Fall, Winter, Spring) each year, course offerings include at least one course in each subject area, with the objective of providing exposure to the Scriptures, to Reformed and Christian theology, and to the challenges of living as a Christian in the world.
In the Summer Quarter, adult education does "Read This Book" program where various leaders will present a book & lead a discussion.  Summer Quarter study meets in the Ministry Center Room 2.21 from 9:00-9:45am.
